It had several areas of residue which I could not remove with either rubbing alcohol, or Glass Cleaner. I decided not to use this glass piece at all. I like it better without the glass in the mouth. It is a taller than most accent tables, which is what I was looking for as a bedside table. It is a sturdy piece of furniture and beautifully finished. My husband did have to make one modification too it, as a piece of it wasn't manufactured right which we discovered upon putting it together.
