This is the perfect way to store my childrens' tall toys such as swords and hockey sticks. It is very heavy and sturdy and I have no fear of it tipping over. It is the typical height of an umbrella stand, which makes it the perfect height for my children to be able to put things in and out. I don't need this feature but I wanted to let others know that the bottom of the umbrella stand has an absorbent stone. This would be great with holding wet umbrellas.. Keri. Quincy, MA. This umbrella stand came fully assembled (thank God!) and the packaging contained styrofoam completely wrapped around the stand to protect it from damage during shipping. The acrylic is shiny and the umbrella stand is heavy which I like because there is no risk it will tip over if the umbrellas lean to one side.
