The cushions are vacuum-compressed for packaging. Before installation, please firmly pat the cushions to help the silk cotton quickly expand and fill the entire cushion. It usually takes 2-3 days for cushions to fully plump up to optimal state.

It is just the size I needed. I was surprised at how easily and quickly I put it together by myself. Only needed help setting it upright and moving it to the rug. Great futon! Shorter (on the back) than I expected but overall it serves its purpose. This is far larger than I expected it to be. Not in a bad way... and I'm sure the description has the measurements to it and I overlooked it. The back just sits up really high, but it works. The teal of the mattress is a beautiful, deep, rich color. It is a heavy piece of furniture and takes several hours to put together. I really like this futon. Very well organized parts and directions. Super solid and the drawers underneath are perfect storage for linens and blankets. It was very easy to assemble, looks sleek, clean and modern, has a center leg to support a good amount of weight, the cushions are firm but still comfortable, the back and seat are each single pieces so there's no dip in the center while laying down, and it's long enough for a tall-ish person to spend the night on!
