This mango wood and metal shelf is quite stylish and holds 15 pounds. It comes with all hardware (2 screws and plastic wall anchors) needed for installing. I have it in my bathroom but it would look really great in all rooms. The shelf itself is pretty heavy so you might want help when installing it, though I did it solo. I actually hit a stud so the wall anchor was too long for one of the holes. I improvised with a longer screw than what was provided to secure it into the wall. I don’t recommend my method! The shelf itself is beautiful. The wood has a rich finish, the craftsmanship feels solid, and it looks great once it’s up. Unfortunately, the hanging hardware is the problem. The shelf uses a cleat-style mounting system, but the included anchors do not hold securely in the wall. Because of that, the shelf slopes forward, which makes it hard to actually use because I don’t feel comfortable placing items on it. Replacing the anchors and screws also is not as simple as a quick swap, since the replacement pieces need to work with the existing cleat-style hardware. I’m concerned about finding something that fits properly and holds securely. Overall, the shelf is very attractive and the wood is beautiful, but the included mounting hardware really affects the functionality. I would recommend it for the look and quality of the shelf itself, but I’d suggest being prepared to replace or upgrade the hanging hardware before relying on it to hold anything.. Janell.
