Thought these were unfinished and so to stain and repaint to the color we wanted took some extra work. Also were tricky to put together.

I went into the purchase assuming this bed wouldn’t be top quality given the price, you get what you pay for. Although this bed is of lower overall quality, once assembled it is more solid than expected. The good The parts and hardware were all clearly labeled. The instructions are clear (although very difficult to execute in the later steps related to the desk). The bad Poor engineering. I’ve put together a lot of furniture and the methods to attach various parts in this piece are weak and result in a ton of gaps, misalignments, and frustration. 10 extra wood pegs and metals instead of plastic bolt attachments would have gone a long way. A majority of screw attachments do not have pre-drilled holes on the receiving piece which makes assembly challenging. The hardware and wood is cheap, so it’s very easy to over-tighten and it’s difficult to know when to stop. A screw driver is a must, even the lowest torque setting on a drill will strip most of the screw connections. The finals steps of desk assembly are quite literally impossible to execute based on the directions and I had to do some disassembly so I could try a different approach. Overall, C quality product, which seems about right given the price point.

I purchased this bed instead of others like it because it is described as being made of solid wood. While you can tell from the pictures that the shelves look too thin to be solid wood, I trusted that the description of the bed frame as being constructed of solid wood was accurate. It is not! The only solid wood this bed contains is the unfinished pine slats that go under the mattress. As another reviewer has noted, the bed reeks of formaldehyde, which is routinely used to make MDF or pressed wood, and which is classified as a carcinogen by the EPA and CDC. Whether or not furniture like this cheaply made bed contains enough formaldehyde to cause long-term effects is up for debate. What is not up for debate is that the bed is inaccurately described as being made of solid wood, i.e., not MDF. After two weeks following partial assembly, the bed still smells like formaldehyde. I bought it for my 5-year-old daughter, who has a chronic disease, again because it said it was made of SOLID WOOD. When I wrote to Wayfair to request a return, they offered either to give me a 20% discount to keep it or — because it was already partly assembled — to replace it with the same item. Hmm. This is a cheaply made product passed off as something it isn't, and Wayfair could really improve its return policy. It's the last time I buy furniture online.

This bed is ok. We ordered two white beds but they’re more of a cream with a pink hue. It wasn’t easy to follow the instructions. The smell is overwhelming! We put the beds together four days ago and have left the windows open and the smell is still really intense. The kids can’t sleep in their rooms. Other than that they look nice and the kids are looking forward to filling the shelves with their favorite things.

This is a very nice sturdy bed and works well in my office space. It was a nightmare to put together. Thankfully I used Angi but it still took my pro over 4 hours to complete.

Absolutely ATROCIOUSLY designed. I had a professional come to put it together. He did his best and he showed me everything that is wrong with the design. For example, some of the screws are not long enough. He screwed them in to the plank under my desk and they’d pop right out cuz they couldn’t properly attach the plank to the desk. They weren’t long enough. The sideboard (shelving space) connected to my desk is also not able to be properly connected to the sideboard (shelving space) that is connected to my bed. The bed in the pictures looks fantastic but don’t let the pictures fool you - it’s awful. Aside from the desk and the desk’s shelves, the bed is fine. But the desk is a huge reason why I purchased this bed in the first place. TLDR The desk and the shelving space connected to the desk are **horribly** designed. Truly awful. The rest seems okay.
