This is because we mill it down and expose wood that hasn’t seen much light or air yet. Over the course of a few days or weeks (depending on the lighting and air movement through the room) the green will fade out to light tans and browns.

Chemical-Free
100% Solid wood : Made of Poplar- Furniture grade and knot-free. Considered a hardwood and has more of a lighter tan look, with some color variance that can get a little darker brown toned.
Your mattress will sit 2 inches down inside of the top bunk's baseboards. We recommend a mattress thickness of 8" or less for the top bunk.
The pictures reflect a large middle support for the top bunk's slats but due to difficulties during assembly we have replaced it with extra slat rails and slats for the top bunk.
This item includes all wood, hardware, and instructions for the bed frame.
Comes sanded smooth and unpainted so you can customize it to your decor.
All frames fit US standard sized mattresses, respectively.
Comes with wide mattress slats (2" wide).
Tools required for assembly : Standard Phillips (+) bit, a cordless power drill, measuring tape, and an extra set of hands.
The rails surrounding the bed can be set at your desired height while assembling. We do not pre-drill where they attach to the bed.
