However, the mat does not stay adhered to the carpeted floor, even with the sticky tape that came with the mat. This is way more durable and attractive than I thought it would be. I did not understand how this could be both a rug and also a surface on which a heavy desk chair could roll. It is somewhat like a giant mouse pad, with a rubber bottom that grips our hardwood floors, and a soft, cloth like surface that does not snag on my desk chair’s casters.
