I would give a 10 if I could. I have a bad back and so finding a chair that is comfortable for both short and long periods of time is crucial. This chair is amazing! It hugs just right at the bottom of the shoulder blades and but is designed with a slight flair so as you recline a bit it to adjusts to hold your back without you feeling stiff or in a position that isn’t real. We actually like that they provide the ability to have dinner and then if we choose continue at the table with conversation or even games for long periods of time thereafter. I’m sick of hard chairs. I wanted something comfy and padded and swively so people would stay at the table instead of migrating to softer furniture with food and for playing board games. Yet, I wanted a wipeable surface because…kids. I *almost* got what I was looking for with these chairs. They look nice and modern, they swivel well (some get a bit loose), and they are comfortable. The two cons that I have are 1) I wish the angle of the chair was a little more upright and 2) my niece spilled a drink and it seeped down to the padding because of the holes where the stitching makes “stripes”, so they definitely aren’t waterproof which makes me sad. These chairs have: arms, nice width on the seat, decent back support, decent cushion, upholstery that's easy to clean, and who knew that I needed the swivel...but that's the icing on the cake so to speak. Assembly was easy. These are comfortable. They wipe down well. Yes, some crumbs get caught in certain parts of the construction but it wipes right out. I prefer the low backs as my dining table floats in my room. These chairs are like a dining room version of a club or game table chair, which is perfect for our home. These chairs make sitting around the table a pleasure. Comfortable for dining, the long conversation that may continue at the table when guests are over, and sitting for long periods to play games. There's enough room in the seat to adjust your position for those long sits and the cushion is just enough to pad but offer support. And bonus, they are really attractive with a pretty color.
