Wander Near Coffee Table

Some pieces ask to be approached. The Wander Near is one of them. The top is shaped like something the water left behind, a smooth organic form, pale and soft to the eye, its edge worn round as though by patient hands. It rests low on three solid legs, each one a grounded column of natural wood, steady and unhurried beneath the lightness above. You drift toward it without meaning to. Set down the book, the cup, the small things that gather through the day. The organic shape leaves room on every side, no hard corners, no fixed front, only an easy surface that meets you wherever you settle. Shaped from honest materials, the pale top and warm wood deepen with living, holding the marks of the hours they keep. This is a table that softens a room. A place to drift toward, to linger near, to return to as the light turns low.
