Black upholstery creates a shadow box effect to see a shadow under the bed or the illusion your bed is floating in mid-air. The natural option is not upholstered unfinished natural wood. Either option can use a bed skirt or dust ruffle to match your décor. Eliminates dust under your bed and you can use it for hidden storage by lifting the mattress. The pedestal is recessed about 4 to 6 inches from the outer edges of the mattress to give toe room and a great look.
