We really love this medicine cabinet. It works perfect above our 24” vanity. It is very heavy and made of wood. We chose to mount into the wall studs using two screws in the top and two screws in the bottom, instead of using the mounting hardware provided to mount in drywall. If you are replacing a current cabinet, measure your wall opening! White plastic trim surround covers the rough edges of your opening up to 1/2" all around. I love this mirror so much. My bathroom design was meant to be a bit theatrical and I wanted some drama with a gilded antique style mirror. I decided upon the silver finish although I was torn between silver and gold. The reason I wouldn’t give five stars is two fold. 1. I checked the dimensions carefully because my bathroom is very small. The mirror is described to be 24 inches in width but it was actually 26.5. My contractor was unsure if he would be able to fit it and for a while we were doubtful. Thankfully Wayfair took accountability and did offer me a discount when I pointed out this dilemma. I hope they update this so no one else has the same issue. There were also some minor cracks perhaps sustained during delivery. I was able to overlook this and didn’t think it was worth it to return since very subtle. 2. I was expecting this from the pictures so no major surprise but I think that for the price the plastic pull tab to open the cabinet could have been better devised. This part feels flimsy and cheap. I’m not sure if it will hold up to time. It would have been perfect if the entire front opened like a standard medicine cabinet instead of just the mirror within the frame. Still worth it in my opinion but it imagine it will bother some buyers who are pickier. Good!!! I ordered two of these large medicine cabinets to replace the mirrors that hung over our two opposing sink areas. My husband got them installed in record time! He was able to fully recess the first one into the wall. But, due to a surprise construction element inside the wall on the other side, he was only able to sink the cabinet about an inch into the wall. This was NOT an issue with the cabinet. Our house was built in the early 1980's, and apparently the builders were oblivious to the fact that a future homeowner just might want to put a recessed medicine cabinet in that spot over the vanity sink.
