This Heavy Faux Fur Throw Blanket is indeed heavy. The front is a longer faux fur and the back is shorter. Both sides are white, not a cream, ivory or off white. I searched for a plush faux fur blanket in bright white to use as a throw on a bedding ensemble that I have in a guest bdrm. This heavy faux fur blanket coupled with the quilted comforter and flannel sheets should offer overnight guests a super warm and cozy feeling. The lighting in the pictures, despite my best efforts, does not show the blanket as a true white. I assure you, it is. I have yet to launder it, so you can see that there are still creases from the packaging. If you are looking for a substantially weighted faux fur throw, this is it.. Pam B.. Cleves, Ohio. Our heavy blankets may seem light, but they actually carry a lot of weight. They use a special filling technique that allows the weight to sink like water. Once the blanket is covered, every square centimeter of the surface of the body feels as if it is being gently pressed, as if it is being surrounded by countless hands. According to some of those who have used it, is a throwback to being a baby and being hugged by your parents.
