These are really nice curtains. The background is definitely white and the stripe that runs through them does vary between navy to a lighter denim to a very light gray, but for me that was perfect for my living room. The fabric is a fairly heavy cotton (and part polyester; but they have the feel of cotton for sure). I ordered 3 pairs, and all of my stripes lined up once I hung them (I noticed in the reviews that some people complained about that). I washed them according to the instructions and they came out perfectly with no shrinkage and after ironing they looked awesome. During the day they let plenty of light in the room, and at night they definitely provide privacy even though they are semi sheer. I highly recommend these and I am extremely happy with my purchase.. These are cute af. They have a super cool fabric feel and texture that really lets the light dapple thru. The color we chose is try to the advertised image and works perfectly. The curtain panels are easy to coordinate 3 parts stripe pattern runs form head to toe on the bed for an easy and timeless coordinate. The cloth uses a black print on a solid color base cloth. The base cloth is double brushed for softness.

I really don't understand the negative reviews. I found them to be ideal. They let just enough light in and have a casual vibe. Best of all pocket rod hanging (instead of tacky cheap looking grommets ). In fact ,I'm here to order a set for my kitchen, I like them that much.
