Hydrangea Impressionism Framed Art

This ready to hang, matted framed art piece features water lilies on a pond. Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to Plein-air landscape painting. The term 'impressionism' is derived from the title of his painting, 'Impression, Sunrise' (Impression, Soleil Levant). Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating museum-quality fine art reproductions. This high-quality print is matted using antique white matting and comes in a black frame. A clear acrylic facing is added to protect the print. Comes ready to hang. The antique white mat allows the image to really stand out, making it a great addition to any space.

This is the largest in Monet’s series of twelve paintings of the Saint-Lazare train station in Paris, a subject favored by many impressionist painters. While completing the series, Monet relocated from the town of Argenteuil to an apartment near the station in Paris. He worked on all the paintings at the same time, and sometimes he leaned the stretched canvases against each other while the paint was still wet. This caused the cork spacers on the backs of the stretchers to be pressed into the adjacent paintings, creating circular indentations in the surface that are visible along the top edge of this work. Monet’s thick build-up of pigments here is a virtuosic example of his approach to painting during this period, when he juxtaposed multitudinous hues in mounds of impasto that would blend into a coherent whole only when viewed from a distance. This technique reportedly led Cézanne to declare, “Monet is only an eye, but my God what an eye!”

Real pretty set of pictures. No glass in the frame...they are framed canvas but I like them. I kept one and gave the other to my daughter. Didn’t realize the frames would be distressed. I prefer a solid black color frame so I painted mine matte black.. Janice. Mechanicsburg, PA. Sun Feb 07 2021

Oil painting on canvas easily recognizable, Water Lilies by Claude Monet has been carefully redone to near perfection with color and brush stroke detailing. The Water Lilies painting is actually a series of 250 oil paintings by Monet. They depict Monet's garden in Giverny and were the main subjects of his paintings later in his career. Monet, a French Impressionist, was born in Paris is 1840, and pursued his passion for painting from the start befriending fellow Impressionist artists. The outdoors clearly inspired Monet to take most of his subject matter from nature's beauty. His use of realistic colors and attention to detail still inspire painters today. This beautifully reproduced painting will work in many rooms in your home. Order it today and start your own collection of Monet masterpieces.

this wrapped canvas arrived intact. the canvas it self was in a plastic bag (good thing as the outside shipping wrap had a pretty large wet area!). the canvas itself was securely "wrapped/taunt" and with a very nice "hanger". i have gotten canvases from WF before and had to attach my own hanger. all in all i am very well pleased!. The hand-painted oil reproduction of a famous Renoir painting 'Grande Vase Di Fiori'. It has been carefully recreated detail-by-detail, color-by-color to near perfection. In the 1870s Renoir's Impressionist technique reached its peak, with glorious accomplishment. His fully defined technique rendered facial expressions and movements masterfully. He spent weeks and sometimes months perfecting his paintings. Why not grace your home with this reproduced masterpiece? It is sure to bring many admirers!
