I love that the blocks are stitched together rather than preprinted. The stitching feels sturdy and well made, with subtle double-threading that adds durability. Colors are richer and more vibrant than expected from photos, and the soft sage backing is a nice touch. The layout is well balanced, with sashing that keeps the pattern from feeling too busy. King size fits well. It’s soft, comfortable, and not too hot for a Texas summer. No odor out of the package, though I still aired it out per instructions. This splendid Luxury All Season Block Throw is lightweight and warm with a fabulous silky feel. Available in beautiful color combinations of naturally dyed colors with expertly hand-finished. This block pattern suits all homes and is a favorite with real estate agents for their home displays. This throw is all natural fibers of a single farmed and produced a herd of Peruvian alpaca and gray sheep. There are no synthetic fibers or chemical dyes used for the final throw.

This throw is expensive and when you receive it you will know why. The colors and weaving are the best features. Beautifully executed. The feel is somewhat silky but there is also a certain natural roughness that you can perceive. After reading the contents I realized I was feeling the wool, although the soft Alpaca is the prominent hand. The throw is light weight, yet nicely warm. I ordered the cocoa color and it is on a grey couch and the grey and brown blocks pull the rest of the room together. This is definitely a light greytanbrown color block, not blue. This wonderful Cotton Throw has shades of green, blue and brown. The center panel shows a typical mountain scene with two bears wandering past a cozy cabin on a quiet lake. The bears, trees, cabin, and canoes are hand appliqued, and the border has an intricate stippling pattern. 3" Rod pocket featured on the back for wall hanging purposes.

I love the throw, and it does coordinate fairly well with my midnight bear comforter and throw. It is basically the daytime scene of that set. It has a curtain rod pocket, like my midnight bear throw, so the two make great curtains for our bedroom. It is good quality, the equivalent of my midnight bear quilt/throw. I just wish it was a bit more reasonably priced ($278 CAD is very pricey), as my original midnight bear throw was much cheaper elsewhere (around $50 USD if I remember correctly). They are so similar in construction and quality that I questioned this pricepoint, but could not find it elsewhere. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5!. Heidi. Nova Scotia.
