They are dry clean only but they seem to resist dirt. They are so thick that you can just take a brush or feather duster to dust them. Backing is light grey and looks good from the outside. Remember to hang your rod at least 6 inches above your frame and let finials rest about 10 inches to the left and right. This will make your windows appear larger. Drapes should hang so that they almost hit the floor. I bought 84” length. These drapes are tough enough to rest over baseboard hot water heaters. Great quality and very few wrinkles out the box! On a really tight budget and after lots of searching, I choose these. 52/72 and I needed light on weight rods are not the strongest and I'm not replacing at this time, but able to also black out.
