Redon, Odilon Wall Art

This ready to hang, matted framed art piece features an abstract yellow tree. Odilon Redon was a French symbolist painter, printmaker, draughtsman and pastellist. His work represents an exploration of his internal feelings and psyche. He himself wanted to place the visible at the service of the invisible; thus, although his work seems filled with strange beings and grotesque dichotomies, his aim was to represent pictorially the ghosts of his own mind. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating museum quality fine art reproductions. This high quality print is matted using antique white matting and comes in a black frame. A clear acrylic facing is added to protect the print. Comes ready to hang. The antique white mat allows the image to really stand out, making it a great addition to any space.

I was very pleased when I saw this print in person. The colors online are authentic, as I was afraid it would not be as striking in person. Very nice frame. If you need a pop of color in a small space I got the smaller size), this will do it. It is fun to see people get up close to look at all of the intricacies of the painting. This is a very good value. Very nicely packaged so it arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Pros: Just as brilliant as it looks, and the frame is ready to hang. Cons: I can't think of any.. Lynn. In this bouquet, such identifiable flowers as poppies and cornflowers, which the artist had studied attentively, emerge as fanciful re-creations, in jewel-like patches of color against a misty, undefined field.
