Great art deserves to be on canvas! Unlike thin posters and paper prints, canvas artwork offers the texture, look, and feel of fine-art paintings. This artwork is crafted in the USA with artist-grade canvas, professionally hand-stretched, and stapled over North American pine-wood bars in gallery wrap style; a method utilized by artists to present artwork in galleries. Your gallery-wrapped canvas comes mounted to a 2 inch thick, elegant hardwood frame. The art is inset, leaving a 3/8" space between the art and frame; creating a "floating" illusion. Fade-resistant archival inks guarantee perfect color reproduction that remains vibrant for decades even when exposed to strong light. This ready to hang, lightbox art piece features a cityscape stretching across the frame. Mike's love of photography started at age 10 when his father taught him how to use his old Pentax SLR camera. By the time he graduated high school, he had also graduated from his 35mm Pentax, to an old 4x5 Graflex camera. From the beginning, landscapes were his true passion. During summer vacations in Maine, Mike would choose to climb around the rocky shore with a camera and tripod instead of shopping with his family in downtown Bar Harbor. He soon landed a job shooting photos for a local newspaper where he continued to work while studying photography in college. The Backlit LED Lightbox by Ebern Designs is a great new way to illuminate your favorite artwork day or night! Inspired by one of our favorite Midwestern American cities, this gorgeous photographic print showcases Chicago’s iconic, glowing skyline at night from the shores of Lake Michigan. Handmade in the USA, this artsy image is printed using anti-fade inks on artist-grade cotton canvas, then gallery-wrapped over anti-shrink pine stretcher bars, and comes ready to hang. Lend your foyer a touch of metropolitan appeal by rolling out an overdyed area rug from the door to the hall to define the space, then set a transparent acrylic console table beside a blooming potted rubber tree in a geometric metallic vase. Create a transit-inspired vignette by hanging this print over the table along with vintage subway signs, black and white photos of turnstiles, and framed train tickets in a shadowbox.
