Beautiful throw. Pattern and colors are as shown in the photos. The wool feels soft and is not itchy. Very well constructed. Wool does not need to be washed often, so I haven't seen how well it holds up, so I can't assess its washability. That being said, we've had it for a couple of years and it's holding up well in general. Update: I've had these for a couple of years now and they still look great. This throw is 50% wool and 50% acrylic. There was a definite unpleasant odor when I opened the plastic zipper bag it arrived in, strong enough that I knew I wanted to wash it before using it. There were no washing instructions on the throw or in the packaging, so I looked it up online. The instructions I found said it could be machine washed in cold water on delicate and air dried, which is what I did. It didn’t wash well, it “felted” and lots of loose threads appeared.
