The clock arrived promptly, so that was nice. Not sure if the plastic cover was supposed to be detached from the clock's face, but that's how it arrived. I am also going to write to the company and apologize because it was my mistake not theirs if you want a really beautiful thing by your bedside to make you smile every day this is well worth the money , but I am only giving it four stars because they do give you video guidance setting up the app but show the phone they are using w microphone on bottom. The clock works just as the listing says it should. It is nice and compact (2 1/2" square, as described), well-assembled (no gaps in the seams), the low-luminescence setting is good and the back is not visually distracting (as was the case with similar products). One note for potential buyers: the front, top and sides of the "black" clock are actually wood-grained charcoal grey plastic. Only the back is black. I will keep it because the clock's size, design and functionality were my priorities.
