The comfortable informality of Monet's life at Argenteuil during this happy summer shines through in the details of this painting. The meal here is finished and Camille can be seen walking through the gardens with a companion while their son, Jean, sits in the shade of the table and plays with his blocks. The ease of the afternoon is captured in the breeze ruffling Camille's skirts, the sun-dappled still life in the center of the painting, and the hat that seems to be carelessly hung in the branches of the tree. The authentic stretched canvas replica painting captures the original work's texture, depth of color, and even its subtle brushstrokes, which are applied by hand. The replica 4.375" wide, European style, bright gold-toned, ribbed frame is cast in quality designer resin with an acanthus leaf and floret border that draws the eye toward the beautiful image. Proudly printed and framed in the USA using imported molding.

This is a beautiful canvas print. The frame is so elegant. The quality is top-notch. I have it hanging in my dining room. The reason for four stars is that the print is a little too dark. It makes it hard to see the house and garden at the back top of the canvas. The original Monet was lighter.. Mary. Oxford, CT. Thu Aug 21 2025
