The rectangular Mera mirror is Visual Comfort's most feature-packed offering. Its contemporary, frame-within-a-frame design make the Mera well-suited for infinite applications in bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, hallways and more. Functional yet subtle on-mirror touch controls allow you to dim the LED's intensity and adjust the color temperature as your needs change from task to mood lighting. Tap the defogging button for an easy, no downtime transition from shower to vanity. The Mera's high quality materials and construction make it a timeless, elevated accessory that can be customized for any moment or use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TL;DR (for busy shoppers) • Design: Modern architectural mirror with frame-within-a-frame detail • Scale: Large statement piece; 72” × 36” • Lighting: Integrated LED with adjustable brightness and color temperature • Controls: 3 touch buttons; dimming, color temperature, and defogger • Installation: Hardwired electrical connection + ~90 lb weight; installation is a job for multiple people! • Best for: Double vanities, luxury bathrooms, dressing spaces • Realistic expectation: This behaves like a lighting fixture rather than a casual decorative mirror ⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔꒰᧔ෆ᧓꒱⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔ Initial Impressions The Generation Lighting Mera 72 x 36 Illuminated Mirror makes an immediate visual impact. At 72 inches wide, the scale alone commands attention. This is not your basic accent mirror. It reads as a true architectural element in a room. The design is modern and restrained. The frame-within-a-frame detail adds dimension while keeping the overall look clean and minimal. The mirror extends roughly 2 inches from the wall when installed, giving it a sleek floating appearance. Glass clarity appears excellent and the mirror itself feels substantial. Build quality is solid and the piece has noticeable weight. Integrated LED lighting runs around the perimeter and is controlled by on-mirror touch buttons. Because this mirror requires a hardwired electrical installation and weighs roughly 90 lbs, I am currently evaluating the best placement and installation plan before completing the electrical connection. Overall presentation aligns with the elevated aesthetic associated with Generation Lighting, part of Visual Comfort & Co. ⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔꒰᧔ෆ᧓꒱⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔ Clock the Tea Here is the real-world context shoppers should know. At 72 inches wide, this mirror behaves as a statement lighting fixture. The integrated lighting requires hardwired installation, and the mirror itself weighs approximately 90 pounds, so installation planning is important. The mirror includes mounting rails that install on the wall first, allowing the mirror to hang securely once the electrical connection is made. Buyers should expect a similar installation process to a wall-mounted light fixture as opposed to a typical decorative mirror. Shoppers should note that while the product description highlights versatility for bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, and hallways, the mirror functions most naturally as a large illuminated vanity mirror. While the mirror is listed as mounting horizontally or vertically, the hardware orientation on the unit suggests reviewing installation carefully beforehand to ensure the desired layout. None of these are flaws. They are simply important considerations when purchasing a mirror of this scale and function. ⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔꒰᧔ෆ᧓꒱⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔ Features & Controls The mirror uses three touch controls directly on the glass surface, which keeps the interface minimal and easy to use. Brightness Control (Sun Icon) • Short touch: Power ON / OFF • Press and hold: Adjust brightness (dimming) Color Temperature Control (Circular Arrows) • Short touch cycles through preset lighting temperatures: 2700K → 3000K → 3500K → 4000K → 5000K • Press and hold: Stepless color temperature adjustment This allows the lighting to shift from warm ambient lighting to bright task lighting. Defogger (Three Stacked Wave Lines) • Short touch: Activate defogger • Automatically shuts off after 1 hour This feature is designed to keep the mirror clear after hot showers. ⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔꒰᧔ෆ᧓꒱⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔ Where It Excels Architectural design. The frame-within-a-frame detail adds subtle depth while maintaining a minimalist look. Statement scale. Few mirrors create this much visual impact. At 72 inches wide, it anchors a vanity wall immediately. Integrated lighting flexibility. Adjustable brightness and color temperature allow the mirror to function for both task lighting and atmosphere. Solid construction. The mirror feels sturdy and well manufactured, consistent with premium lighting fixtures. ⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔꒰᧔ෆ᧓꒱⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔ Where Shoppers Should Be Realistic This mirror performs best in spaces designed for it. Buyers should expect: • hardwired electrical installation • strong wall support • multi-person mounting due to the weight/size This mirror would be ideal for: • a primary bathroom vanity • a luxury dressing room • a large modern bathroom where lighting and mirror function are combined For purely decorative living spaces, installation may require additional planning. ⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔꒰᧔ෆ᧓꒱⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔ Where the Brand Could Elevate With a mirror at this scale, installation clarity becomes extremely important during the shopping phase. More prominent guidance around: • electrical installation requirements • mounting orientation options • weight and wall support considerations would help shoppers plan their space with greater confidence. ⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔꒰᧔ෆ᧓꒱⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔⏔ Thoughts I’m Leaving You With; Until Next Time M odern E legant R efined A rchitecture The Mera mirror is undeniably striking. Its architectural design, scale, and integrated lighting give it the presence of a true statement fixture. In the right setting; a large vanity wall, dressing room, or modern bathroom; it delivers both function and visual impact. Approach it as what it truly is: a lighting fixture that happens to be a mirror. Plan the installation accordingly, and it has the potential to become the focal point of the room. Design that reflects light beautifully; and understands exactly where it belongs. Until next time; mirror mirror ✨. Jessikaj. Tue Mar 10 2026

This is a beautiful mirror and perfect for the wall I used it on. The only reason I didn’t give it a five is because it is slightly warped so the bottom isn’t flush with the wall. I’m hoping it will straighten with time.. Debra. Detroit Lakes, MN. Wed May 27 2026
