Equal parts rustic and refined, this versatile piece is crafted of manufactured wood and features a dark walnut finish with dramatic distressed detailing. Set it above a weathered leather sofa filled with a photograph of your favorite lakeside retreat, then roll out a dark-toned braided rug and suspend a glowing wrought iron chandelier overhead to tie a lodge-inspired living room look together. If your space is a bit more stately, that's no problem. Let it sit above the dining room mantel to stage a family portrait, a lovely centerpiece for festive feasts and elegant dinner parties alike. First things first, the frame does seem to be constructed of wood but the 'wood grain' finish is a veneer. If you're hoping for a raw wood look this may not be the frame you want. That being said, it is a very well-constructed frame and I was so thrilled to get it in a size that's otherwise difficult to find (6"x6"). Acrylic really does have superior clarity when compared to glass - it will scratch much more easily, of course, but so long as the frame isn't in a high-traffic spot that really shouldn't be an issue.. Emily. North Berwick, ME. Sun Feb 12 2023

Frame was not stained or finished in backside. There was some overlapping stain, but it did not cover all of the frame. To me, this looked shoddy & cheap.
