This ready to hang, matted framed art piece features an abstract view of the horizon over a large body of water. Claude Monet (1840-1926) was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to Plein-air landscape painting. The term 'impressionism' is derived from the title of his painting, 'Impression, Sunrise' (Impression, Soleil Levant).

I was so happy when this picture arrived, ready-framed, and with such lovely pastel colors. I chose the frame in brown wood as opposed to black, because it is a less harsh contrast. It is a picture I use in the bathroom. The colors are such, that they will go with any hand-towel that I place beneath them When you look at the picture close up, you can see the individual pencil/pastel marks that were originally made. I like it so much. Pros: Arrived safely and well-packaged. Carol Pickles. Kalamazoo, MI. Fri Jan 01 2016
