This is a must for kids that are having trouble sleeping, anxiety and many other things. I'm using this for my 5 year old. She loves it! I especially like that it comes with a washable cover that can be removed. You can use the weighted blanket with or without the cover. But my kid obviously prefers it with it :). This blanket is a pretty dense knit, and it does have quite a bit of stretch. The dense knit is important to me because I have small dogs and whenever it is a looser knit blanket, their little nails get stuck and make pulls or snags. All of my current bedding has Sherpa lining. I love the softness of it. Plus it comes out great from the washing machine. Upon opening the cooling blanket was significantly cooler than room temperature, and felt silky and nice. The size fit perfectly over a Queen bed, and the color was a neutral gray. Got this for my son who gets very hot when sleeping at night. It does have a cooling effect to it. Then, if one area gets warm, he just moves it around and it feels cool again in another spot. I got the larger blanket and it’s on the heavy side when bunched up. It’s very delicate when spread out. It’s easy to pull the stitches out of shape if you’re not careful. It is machine washable, but I’m not sure I want to put it in the washer. I’m almost inclined to think that dry cleaning it would be best. It has a Mohair texture to it. Very soft and stretchy.
