The Beaucarnea guatemalensis, or more commonly known as the Ponytail palm and Elephants foot, are unique looking, long-lasting indoor plant which are perfect for beginners or expert plant lovers because of its low maintenance and easy care needs. Despite its palm like appearance and name, the Elephants Foot is not a true palm, it is closely related to desert plants in the Agave and Yucca genus. The Ponytail Palm has a exclusive feature within the swollen base of its trunk, which is where it stores a reserve of water making it highly tolerant to drought. The texture of the trunk looks and feels like an elephants foot from which clusters of long strap-like leaves arch and droop gracefully from the trunk giving the impression of a palm. No 2 specimens are alike ensuring that your ponytail palm is 1 of a kind. If you're looking for a plant that will make a statement and add green color in your house or office with low maintenance and easy care, then the Ponytail Palm is a great choice. Add a touch of the tropics to your favorite rooms with the lush beauty of a Peace Lily (botanically known as Spathiphyllum). One of the best flowering houseplants for indoor spaces, Peace Lily is relatively slow growing and doesn’t need any special pruning. Its big, lush leaves and white flowers make any room feel more inviting and comfortable. Keep your Peace Lily happy by growing it in bright, indirect light. Water this beautiful houseplant about once a week with approximately 1 cup, ensuring excess water drains. Adjust as needed for your environment. Never let your Peace Lily sit in water or saturated soil. If you’d like to boost growth and flowering in spring and summer, feed this flowering houseplant with a fertilizer labeled for potted plants following the products instructions. Should your Peace Lily outgrow its current container, repot by gently removing it from its container and placing it one that’s 2 to 4 inches wider. Fill with potting mix and water thoroughly. Though we grow it as a houseplant, it is hardy outdoors in USDA Zones 9b-11. Because of its lush look and charming white flowers, Peace Lily is a fantastic choice for both beginners and plant enthusiasts looking to decorate their home with greenery. Enjoy it in living rooms, dens, and bedrooms. A long-lived flowering houseplant, it makes for a thoughtful housewarming present, thank you gift, or just to show someone you’re thinking about them.
