I thought the overall size of this framed painting would be 18x27. It is not. That must have just been the painting. With the frame, the overall size is 22x31! Not sure if I'm keeping it at this time. Fairly big difference when I needed 27" wide framed picture as I ordered the other heron print as well. Instead of 54" total width I"m now dealing with 62" total width not counting 2" between the two pictures.. Bambi. Bel Air, MD. Thu Jun 18 2026

Ordered the pair thinking overall size would be 18x27. With frame the painting is 4" larger in length and width. Size for the area may be an issue. Thinking about whether to keep or return.. Bambi. Bel Air, MD. Thu Jun 18 2026

This ready to hang, matted framed art piece features a bird and a crab on a beach. John James Audubon (Jean-Jacques Audubon) was a French-American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter. He was notable for his expansive studies to document all types of American birds and for his detailed illustrations that depicted the birds in their natural habitats. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating museum-quality fine art reproductions. This high-quality print is matted using antique white matting and comes in a black frame. A clear acrylic facing is added to protect the print. The antique white mat allows the image to really stand out, making it a great addition to any space.

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS. I also bought the blue crane by Audubon to go with it to refresh a tropical beachy coastal decor for a vacation home. Thank you Wayfair the prices at service are excellent. Rita. Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Tue Nov 12 2024

John James Audubon (1785-1851) was the premier naturalist and a well respected American ornithologist. His attention to detail and his prints became world famous as they were published. Future generations including Charles Darwin all drew on his expertise through his published legacy. These prints drawn over the course of his life are as true and accurate today as they were in the 1700's. Sadly, some species will never be seen except in his drawings.
