Noce Judith Beheading Holofernes by Caravaggio is a vintage botanical study sized to anchor a room rather than fill a gap. It is printed with archival inks and set behind a wide beveled mat board and sealed under acrylic glass in a solid wood frame, which keeps the surface clear of glare and the print clear of fading. Choose from several sizes and frame finishes. Every piece is custom made to order and hand framed one at a time, then shipped ready to hang with hardware included.

Wow, what a print! Of course the artwork itself is striking. The resolution of the fronting is excellent. I did have to knock down the rating for two reasons. First, the is stretched over a frame that is deeper than the decorative frame affixed to the print. This leaves a wholly unacceptable gap of half an inch. It makes the fake decorative frame float a half inch from the wall which leans you cannot hang this anywhere you can view it from the side as you will see it floats away from the wall and will see the underlying canvas-wrapped frame. Second, the decorative frame feels a bit cheap and looks cheap if you get close so you must also hang it somewhere people can’t get up close to it. 4-5 feet viewing distance seems fine.. Siv.
