William Morris Brother Rabbit Wallpaper

Although Morris regularly used birds in his designs, Brother Rabbit is his only repeating pattern to feature an animal. Designed in 1882, the design was originally created using wood blocks, which are now in the collection of the William Morris Gallery. Morris’s skilled team of printers would use up to 25 blocks per design in order to create his dense patterns. Brother Rabbit wallpaper features beautifully entwined leaves and trees in cream and deep mustard yellow, with accents of light blush pink. Then hidden within the foliage, you will be able to find birds and brother rabbit, beautifully coloured in that same cream tone, found under multi-tonal leaves, all laid upon a deep background. Perfect for creating a fresh and welcoming feel within any home.
