Shakia Handmade Figurine / Sculpture Decorative Object

Gleaming brightly, accents of embossed aluminum decorate this hand-carved sese wood wall sculpture from Ghana. Otchere Raymond designs this sculpture, which offers a depiction of the traditional Adinkra symbol Sankofa. Embodied by a bird reaching to grab an egg off its back, Sankofa signifies the importance of learning from the past.
