About the artist, Norm F.Olson was born in Chicago, IL and went south on a football scholarship to Florida State University, where he completed his BA and Masters of Fine Art. He coached football, track and wrestling for a number of years while pursuing art as a sideline. Art became his career twenty eight years ago and he has been successful with his artwork ever since. While he has worked in many different media, his current work is in abstract collage, with oil paint, pastel and acrylic. He has remained in the south. He lives and works in Athens, GA, with his artist wife, Charlene Winterle Olson.
