Writing this review a little late, but I was able to assemble this really easy. The bar comes in pieces which you have to screw together. I was pleasantly surprised because I didn’t think it would be sturdy. But after assembling and hanging the rod it is actually very sturdy. I would definitely buy again if I need another curtain rod.. I ordered two of these. Lovely design and easy enough to put together and put up if you know the basics of putting up curtains. I had a couple of concerns that warranted taking off a star 1) The drywall anchors were super flimsy. I switched to my own spare ones after I had experienced a couple of them bending out of shape at the head when they were almost completely into the wall. 2) The shiny brass coating was already scratched off at certain points right upon opening. The flaws were subtle enough that I didn’t bother trying to cover them up but they are noticeable when you’re looking at them at eye level. Overall a very nice item. They are lighter weight than I expected, but Im not putting too much stress on them with the sheer curtains and lightweight valence, so that shouldnt be an issue. I really like the mounts which allow sliding them over the screws before final tightening. The finish is a bit cheap looking to me however I dont have a lot of experience with gold finishes (prior rods Ive used have been brushed nickel), so maybe thats just me.
