• Kiln fired ceramic, that is baked on in a high-fire kiln at 1200* - 1500*F with durable Glaze coat applied to each sculpture allowing sculpture to be enjoyed outdoor
• The ceramic base in which the Animated Donkey figure stands upon is hand painted, this same pattern is painted on the back of the donkey's head and ears. Each sculpture is individually painted by the top Talavera artisans of Guanajuato Mexico; their techniques are inspired by old-world Talavera and Majolica artistries. Every sculpture is signed by the artist who painted it. All ceramic and paint is lead free and kiln fired with a glossy durable finish safe for outdoor display.
• Each Donkey sculpture is made up of 2 pieces the head and ears. The head is fitted with a thick metal pin that inserts securely to the body and base. The metal pin allows the head to swivel 360 degrees on the body allowing you to display the sculpture to your preference. All pieces are included with each sculpture. Each sculpture is individually painted by a unique group of artisans, no 2 sculptures will appear exactly the same as the next ensuring their uniqueness and authenticity.
