This captivating oil on canvas painting, a powerful piece of Indian art, portrays a scene of daily labor with profound artistic depth. They are heavily burdened, carrying large bundles of freshly harvested water lilies, their delicate white blossoms providing a soft contrast to the dominant earthy green tones. The artist masterfully renders the figures with poignant realism, capturing the strain in their barefooted posture and the simple folds of their clothing.
