The Scalamandre zebra pattern is the perfect accent and/or gift for the adventurer in us all. A little background history: In 1945, Flora Scalamandre was asked by a friend in New York, Gino Circiello, who was opening a small restaurant to develop a fun, animated wallpaper for his new restaurant Gino's. He fell in love with the whimsical repeat of the prancing zebras that she presented to him. The motif was instantly put into repeat and printed on wallpaper in the color of the rich marinara sauce. It's still a hit today! Scalamandre offers patterns in fabric and wallpaper in multiple colors.
