Slate Pillar, Gold Leaf

Symmetry represents feelings of order and organization, and the human eye can’t get enough of it. However, introducing a few asymmetrical touches to an otherwise uniform shape can yield staggering results. A case in point is the Slate Pillar by Phillips Collection. The Slate Pillar is a rectangular pedestal with a lustrous finish that boasts a ridged texture that dips and dives along the sides of the piece. The contrast between the consistency of the shape and the irregularity of the texture produces a wonderfully unique piece that will make this piece a bold statement and a lovely conversation starter.
