The Horse of Hope Figurine

This beautiful steed represents the Kazari Uma, or horse with a battle harness, one of the traditions of the Japanese Tango no Sekku or Children's Day celebrations. It represents a prayer for the safety, healthy growth and fulfilment of dreams of newborn children. The piece portrays a powerfully built animal in an elegant and noble pose, richly dressed with intense colours and beautiful decorations highlighted in gold lustre.
