Big icons. Small sizes. Under the heading of Liliput, you can now create original stories in wood with three of Kay Bojesen's famous wooden figures in an even smaller miniature size, where the smiling lines in the miniature versions can't help but bring out the big smiles of everyone who loves classic Danish design. Meet the 3.7" Bear, the 3.0" Elephant and the 2.4" Hippo. Like his bigger siblings, Liliput Bear stands ready with his characteristic open arms and friendly expressions. Even though it's small, Liliput Bear can still turn its head and move its arms so you can position, sit or lay it down exactly as you like. The Liliput Elephant, with its long trunk and cute ears, has the same inviting round shape ias the original from the beginning of the 1950s, when Kay Bojesen's elephant figure was born at the Danish Arts and Crafts Spring Exhibition. Born in 1955 as a cheerful way to keep track of pencils on the desk, the Liliput Hippo will still create smiles and style in the office or children's room. All Liliput animals are made from FSC-certified oak, which guarantees that the trees for production are planted, grown and felled responsibly. The Liliput Bear also has details in FSC-certified maple, which help to emphasize the Bear's soft design. The individual parts of the animals have been turned, ground, sanded and polished to make them both beautiful to look at and pleasant to touch. Even though the animals have become smaller, the great craftsmanship behind each individual Liliput figure is the same as always, and the high quality of materials, design and finish shines through the three little friends, who in this unique bundle with all the Liliput figures are the perfect gift idea for anyone who appreciates original Danish design that Kay Bojesen is known for—whether for a big anniversary or a little child's birthday. Large, small, mini or Liliput, Kay Bojesen's family of wooden animals has a very special appeal for both children and adults. A wooden figure is not a gift that is forgotten, but becomes a dear friend that moves with you throughout your life—from the childhood bedroom to your own adult home— something that design icons of a certain caliber can do without losing relevance.
