This unique Mother and Child design is hand-crafted from eco-friendly soapstone in the Kisii district of Kenya. Starting with the raw stone, the carver cuts to size and shapes and defines the stone using only basic hand tools. Artisans use natural dyes and hand-applied finishes for a one-of-a-kind art piece. This sculpture is a wonderful gift for the Moms in your life, perfect for all occasions and decors. Every stage in the making of this beautiful figurine involved human hands. The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color, size, and design, minor differences should be expected when ordering more than one piece.
