Part of the holy trinity of the Hindu religion, Lord Shiva is the destroyer of the universe. He is shown here in a standing posture, with one hand bestowing blessings upon his devotees and the other holding his trident or Trishul. Considered to be the weapon of Lord Shiva, the Trishul has three stakes each representing the various tasks of the holy Hindu trinity - creation, preservation, and destruction. A serpent can be seen around his neck which is also adorned by rudraksha malas. With his long hair tied in a half-top knot and tiger skin wrapped around his waist, the yogic appearance of Lord Shiva in this statue exudes positivity as well as strength. Crafted from brass which is known for its lustre and durability, this statue shines bright as gold and is a magnificent piece of spiritual decor and devotion.
