Shakyamuni Buddha, whose teachings have been concentrated in the religion of Buddhism today - has been acutely sculpted in brass as a bust. His eyes in a state of realization look downwards, covered almost half by the lids, with a slight smile. His curls are tied into a high bun, and his earlobes are stretched by the weight of heavy earrings. Placed as an umbrella is a branch of the revered Bodhi tree. Placed on a double layer of round wooden discs - this piece speaks of the climaxed enlightenment (Nirvana).
