Canyon By Sie Douglas-Fish No Frame Painting On Canvas

Canyon is a bold abstraction that evokes the rugged landscape and stark contrasts found in desert canyons. Dominated by a rich, burnt orange background, the composition features dynamic blocks and gestures of black, white, and muted grey, intersecting in a way that suggests the angular walls and shifting shadows of a rocky gorge. The layering and scraping of paint create a textured, tactile surface, while drips and rough edges introduce a sense of erosion and elemental force. With its raw energy and geometric tension, the painting captures both the grandeur and fragmentation of natural formations through a modern, minimalist lens.
