Spianata

Spianata captures the charm and warmth of a Mediterranean promenade as light pours through a canopy of trees and dances across the tiled path. The scene invites you to walk beneath the trees, past ochre and salmon-painted buildings, toward the calm waters of the shoreline. Brushstrokes are blocky and confident, lending a mosaic-like texture to the leaves and cobblestones. The composition leans into rhythm and perspective, with strong verticals from the tree trunks and lampposts anchoring the piece as the path curves into the distance. The colours are rich but inviting, with playful use of light pinks, yellows, and deep greens to echo the afternoon sun. Every mark feels intentional, building an atmosphere that's at once peaceful and lively, familiar and imagined.
