Phoenician Capital

Both architectural salvage and sculpture, the Phoenician Capital works as the crowning fragment of a column set loose on a tabletop. Its low, broad proportions keep it from crowding a console, and the detailing reads clearly from a seated height. Hand finishing gives the composite the porous, pitted look of old stone. Set it on a stack of books, a coffee table, or an open shelf where its horizontal mass balances taller objects. In a dining room or a home office it reads as something collected, not something ordered.
