Delos Torso on Metal Stand

Features

• The fragmentary torso form reads as a genuine antiquity, giving a room the collected look of a piece brought back rather than bought new.
• Lightweight composite stands in for carved marble, so a sculpture of this scale can be moved between rooms without special handling.
• The modeled body catches raking light across chest and shoulder, which is what gives the piece its depth in a dim corner.
• The metal stand gives the torso a plinth and enough height that its lines stay legible from a seat across the room.
• Vertical proportions make it a good fix for tall empty corners, stair landings, and the dead space beside a fireplace.
