Apopka Handmade Figurine / Sculpture Decorative Object

A trio of monkeys is depicted in this ceramic. One covers its ears, another its mouth, and the third places its hands over its eyes. Known in Thailand as "the three monkeys," the meaning of the images is that humans should not receive bad things or evil from the environment that surrounds them. This artisan sculpts the elegant figurines in clay. Using the technique, she colors the smooth blue contours with a delightfully crackled glaze.
