The sculpted ornamentations adorning the walls of Hoysala temples, known for their craftsmanship, have left an indelible mark on various art forms and decorative items. The intricate details, delicate carvings, and unique motifs found in Hoysala art, such as the renowned temples at Belur and Halebidu, have inspired not only other temple architectures but also paintings, jewelry, and various ornamental pieces. This Shree Padmanabha Swamy Wall Hanging, crafted in bronze using the distinctive Hoysala art style, is a beautiful example of this influence. Depicting Lord Padmanabhaswamy reclining on the Seshnaag, surrounded by Bhudevi, Sridevi, Lord Brahma, Lord Garuda, and Lord Hanuman, the wall hanging captures the essence of Hoysala artistry. The circular arrangement of the sculpture mimics the garland-like vines often seen in Hoysala temple ornamentation.
