Ganesha sits here on a superfine carved multilayered lotus pedestal, with each of its petals bloomed in amazement and decorated with long vertical striations. Zoom in to have a keen look at the multiple embellishments adorned over his body; the beautiful necklaces and shoulder caps complement with his lavishly etched royal crown identifying him as the king of the entire Hindu pantheon; have a back view of the sculpture to praise the highly incised short dhoti and a thin multilayered stole hung on his hands loose from behind. His sacred vahana (Mooshak) find its place inside the large ethnic broch of his long finely carved neckband that comes down till his lotus throne and the small serpent entangled on his paunchy belly is symbolic of him being Shiva’s son.Chaturbhuja holds the bowl of laddoos in his left anterior hand and right is placed in a mudra of granting fearlessness to his beloved devotees; posterior hands hold a noose and mace respectively. The smooth and glowing trunk is carved in an elegant floral pattern and approaches the laddoos representing his non-resistant nature to eat his favorite sweetmeat; he looks straight with his intense cosmic eyes and finely striated Elephant ears representing the carver’s expertise. The long hairs are extensively coiled from back and are covered from the top by a charming flower haloed crown that has royal and ethnic patterns carved on either side.
