Good basic safe for keeping firearms secure from children I’m satisfied with this safe for what it is. Assembly took approximately two hours, so be prepared to spend some time putting it together. Once assembled, it feels reasonably sturdy and does what I purchased it to do. The electronic lock is a nice convenience and makes accessing the safe much easier than dealing with a traditional key lock. The primary purpose for me is keeping firearms safely secured and out of the hands of curious children, and I believe it accomplishes that well. That said, buyers should have realistic expectations about the level of security this safe provides. It is not a high-security safe designed to withstand a determined thief, and it offers no fire protection whatsoever. I would consider it a good option for basic firearm storage and keeping unauthorized family members from accessing firearms, but I would look at a much heavier and more robust safe if theft or fire protection is a major concern. This gun safe for rifles and pistols is a decent choice to secure your weapons. It does have to be assembled- bunch of pieces. Took about an hour to assemble. It would be easier with 2 people to hold it up while one screws and attches. I gave it a 4 because when we took the door off the battery compartment it broke- pictures attached. Overall it’s ok. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this gun safe for the price. Assembly took a little time, but the instructions were straightforward and everything fit together well. Once assembled and anchored to the wall, it feels sturdy and secure. The adjustable shelving makes it easy to customize the interior, and I like having the pistol pockets on the door to keep handguns and accessories organized. The keypad works well, and having backup keys gives us a little extra peace of mind. I like this little gun safe, but it’s definitely smaller and more lightweight than I expected. If your guns have scopes, fitting more than one can be a little tricky because there just isn’t much room inside. I would not count on comfortably fitting 1-2 scoped guns in it.( non Scoped should be fine). The keypad is convenient , and the safe has a little light that comes on when opened. It comes with battey backup pack, 2- keys and a nice accessory case. Its the pefect size to store guns for home protection. Big time game hunters will not be happy with this.. Kelli. FL. The first thing I will say is that this safe is not going to keep a thief out, but it will keep your kids out. All and all its not to bad safe, a little on the flimsy side but again it will keep them out of the hands of children. Some of the screws are very difficult to get in especially if you have large hands like I do. It is also difficult to get the door to latch due to it not being square, refer back to being flimsy.
