Ill admit, there was a point during assembly when I considered putting everything back in the box. The finished stools are really cute, but the instructions could definitely be clearer. Instead of labeling each individual piece, the parts were grouped in labeled bags. That sounds great until you realize some of the pieces look almost identical. I kept mixing up two of them because the instructions referred to the outside, but depending on which way I was holding the piece, every side felt like the outside. It took several attempts before everything finally clicked into place. Once I got past that hurdle, the rest of the assembly went much more smoothly. They also included plenty of extra hardware, which Im sure is intentional, but it always makes me wonder if I accidentally skipped a step somewhere. The stools are really cute once theyre assembled. The back is fairly low, so if youre looking for a lot of back support, keep that in mind. I actually like it because I tend to sit crisscross at the counter, and these are comfortable for that. The faux leather isnt the highest quality Ive seen, but it looks nice and fits the overall style. They feel sturdy, are a great counter height.
